Pericles

A conceptual project for Baylor University’s Costume Design course

One of the lesser known Shakespeare plays, Pericles is the story of a man and his family torn apart by fate and oceans. Instead of the Mediterranean, I chose to set my Pericles in medieval South Asia, primarily the area near the South China Sea. I tried to use colors reminiscent of the gorgeous islands and waters in the area while staying true to the time period and respectful of the culture.
